Together Again: Celebrating 20 Years of Fetal Surgery Care
On September 26, 2026, the Los Angeles Fetal Surgery community gathered at the Los Angeles Zoo for our 20th Anniversary Fetal Surgery Reunion. Families who received care from Dr. Chmait and the Los Angeles Fetal Surgery team celebrated a milestone shaped by two decades of care, trust, and connection.
The reunion offered a meaningful opportunity for families and their care teams to reconnect. It also brought into focus the many people who have shaped our program’s story over the years—children, parents, loved ones, and the providers and staff who cared for them along the way.
For families facing a complex fetal diagnosis, the journey can be filled with uncertainty. The connections formed during that time often carry significance well beyond treatment. This gathering honored those shared experiences and the trust families placed in Dr. Chmait and our team.
